CAMP OAKES 50TH ANNIVERSARY -
Come join us in Big Bear to celebrate our 50 years of service. The celebration is scheduled for Sunday, September 21st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Enjoy a BBQ lunch, camp activities, and renewing acquaintances. Bring your camp photos and stories to share.

2008 FAMILY CAMP
Registration forms are being accepted for Labor Day Family Camp. Event dates are Friday, 8/29 thru Monday 9/1.
Oakes camping is an affordable way for families to spend vacation time together in a pristine setting without distractions or commercialism.
Traditional activities include swimming, horseback rides, wall and rope courses, archery, canoeing, and hiking. In the afternoon, there are family tournaments scheduled and in the eveing, campfires, skits and songs followed by stargazing from the Camp observatory.
SKI TRIPS . . . . We offer affordable overnight group lodging. Rent our facilities during the winter months for one night or more. Camp is near Snow Summit and Bear Mountain ski lifts. Open every day in December and January (except for Christmas and Christmas Eve). Enjoy a homestyle dinner and continental breakfast with optional camp-facilitated group games. Camp Oakes is owned and operated by the
YMCA of Greater Long Beach and is located on 230 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Camp Oakes, near Big Bear, CA, is open all year round and is available for groups of any size. School groups, church groups, corporate groups, youth organizations, special need groups, and other YMCA's are all welcome.
Rent our facility for the weekend or the week. Our skilled staff is ready to help you create a lasting experience that will last a lifetime. Come and share the YMCA camp experience.
Check the Calendar for available dates. We have housing for 230 in the non summer months and over 400 in the summer months.
